Do I need any special equipment to use FollowMeFree?
No. FollowMeFree is a telephone service that connects the caller to your existing phones.
Is FollowMeFree a VoIP service? What is the voice quality like?
No. FollowMeFree runs on traditional circuit switching telephone networks. FollowMeFree is a high quality, high reliability service designed for business use.
Is FollowMeFree just a forwarding or international forwarding service?
It is more than just a forwarding or international forwarding service. It is a follow me service and will ring your telephones one by one (or all at the same time) until you answer or the caller hangs up.
How can I use FollowMeFree as a international toll free service?
A toll free service is available dometically but not available to your overseas callers. You can add a Click-to-Call button on your web site for your callers to call you for free.
Can I get FollowMeFree to tell the hotel receptionist to transfer calls to my room?
Yes. If you would like your family and friends to call you in your hotel, you can add a message such as "Please transfer this call to room 1234" when you initiate a call. FollowMeFree will first play this message using text-to-speech technology.
Does FollowMeFree provide a voicemail service?
Yes. All FollowMeFree voicemails are sent to your email address. It is a voicemail-to-email service.
Can I use FollowMeFree as a roaming service?
Yes you can. You will find FollowMeFree much cheaper than using your mobile roaming service when going overseas. It is also very easy to setup roaming. When you arrive a new place, go to the login portal and change/add your local phone number in the ring groups.
Can I have FollowMeFree to ring differents phones or ring groups for different times?
Yes. You may setup up to 5 ring groups, each consisting of different group of phone numbers, for different time periods such as office hours, after hours, etc.
Is FollowMeFree good for my support helpdesk and on call staff?
Yes. Especially if your on call staff is mobile, FollowMeFree gives you great control and flexibility on call routings.
Payment / Billing FAQ
Is FollowMeFree a free service?
FollowMeFree is similar to a toll-free service, or collect calls. It is free for the caller. The receiver (FollowMeFree user) pays for the call charges.
Is FollowMeFree a prepaid or postpaid service?
FollowMeFree is a prepaid service.
Are there any setup fees or subscription fees?
There is no setup fee and no monthly subscription fees. Only usage/call charges apply.
Can I get an account without making any prepayment for call credit?
Yes. You can get an account and try out the user login portal without buying any call credit. You may purchase call credits later.
Are there any hidden charges?
No. You will only be charged for any calls made.
Does FollowMeFree accept credit card payment?
Yes. We accept credit card payments through Paypal.
How do I purchase call credit (or prepaid vouchers)?
Click [Buy Credit] to get a prepaid voucher. Then login and transfer credit from voucher to your account.
Can I transfer credit from my voucher to other FollowMeFree users' accounts?
Yes you can. You can transfer credit to any FollowMeFree account you like.
Is there any extra cost to get a FollowMeFree Click-to-call button on my web site?
No. Click-to-call is just another way to use the normal FollowMeFree service. There is no extra charge for that. Call usage charge is the only charge.
How-to-use FAQ
Can I reject a call if the caller doesn't provide his name or email address?
Yes. You can set to accept or reject calls without callers' names and/or email addresses in the login portal [Call Settings].
Can I divert all calls to my voicemail-to-email?
Yes. You can set a ring group that contains no phone number, but instructions to send messages to your voicemail-to-email immediately in the login portal [Ring Groups].
Can I block certain phone numbers?
Yes. This can be set in the login portal [Call Restriction].
Can I block certain types of calls (e.g. mobile, or overseas calls)?
Yes. This can be set in the login portal [Call Restriction].
What is a ringall group or hunt group?
A ringall group will ring all telephones at the same time and you may answer from any of the phones. A hunt group will ring the telephones one by one; for example, ring my home phone for 30 seconds, if no one answers then ring my mobile phone.
How many ringall/hunt groups can I set?
You can set up to 5 ringall or hunt groups.
Can I use different ring groups for different time periods?
Yes. This is exactly the idea. For example, one group (office phone and mobile) for office hours, another group (home phone and mobile) for weekend, etc.
Can I use different ring groups for some special days or holidays?
Yes. For example if you are going overseas for a holiday, you can set a ring group with the overseas hotel number, and your overseas mobile number.
Call recording FAQ
How do I record call conversations?
It is very easy. You can choose to record all calls, or only certain calls. This can be set in the login portal [Call Settings]->[Call Recording Setting].
How do I get and listen to the recorded conversations?
All recordings are sent to your email address as MP3 files immediately after the call is ended.
Is there any fee for call recording?
Yes, there is a flat fee charge per recording. However, recording fee does not apply to rejected calls.
Is it legal to record telephone conversations?
It may vary from country to country. Be aware of privacy laws and get the consent of the other party if you wish to record. FollowMeFree will not take any responsibility for illegal use of this service.
Click2call FAQ
What is Click2call?
It is a button, or image/icon such as [Call Me], [Call Me Now], [Phone Me] that you find on many web sites. It is a telephone service that connects you to the web site's call center, or support, or sales team.
How do I make a Click2call button for my web site?
You can generate html codes automatically in the login portal [Click2Call Buttons] and insert them into your web site. To generate the html codes you will just need to answer a few simple questions.
Can I see a Click2call html example?
Yes. You can generate one sample html file from the login portal [Click2Call Buttons].
Where can I find some Click2call images/icons for my web button?
You can find them in http://www.followmefree.com/callimages/ and you may use any of them freely for your Click2Call Buttons.
Can we play our own special messages or IVR to callers?
Yes. We can customise prompts and IVRs to our customers on fee paying basis. Please contact us at sales@followmefree.com thank you.
We have many branches. Can FollowMeFree connect the caller to the right branch?
Yes. We can provide an IVR that asks callers to enter their postal codes, then to connect to the closest branch.
URL FAQ
How does a FollowMeFree URL work?
It is similar to any URL or http that you can click on or cut and paste to your Internet browser. Your URL will bring up a window to ask your caller to enter his phone number, then connects your phone to your caller's phone.
Where can I find my FollowMeFree URL?
You will find your FollowMeFree URL in the login portal [Click2Call URL].
Is my FollowMeFree URL unique?
Yes. It is a unique URL. When a caller clicks on your URL, your telephones will ring.
Is my name/email/identity hidden from the URL?
They are all hidden from the URL.
